Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 & Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 - Your responsibilities

You must take care of your own health and safety as well as that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions. For example, don't leave bags lying around where others may trip over them.

You must co-operate with Amethyst to enable Amethyst to comply with its duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act. You must sign in and out of the building, obey the no smoking policy, follow fire precautions etc.

It is an offence for anyone to intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare.

You must use all equipment in accordance with any relevant training or instructions.

You must inform staff of any dangerous situations or shortcomings of Amethyst's health and safety arrangements, e.g. faulty equipment.
